• Gemini 4 Argon is live in the API. Google says it ranks #1 on the Vals Index and offers a 1M unified input-output token limit. Intro pricing ends Nov 30, then doubles to $4/$20. Budget for that before migrating. Google

• An embedding model that transcribes. A team turned Google's EmbeddingGemma 2 into on-device speech-to-text. They report an hour of audio in about 13 seconds on a base MacBook Air, at about 5% word error rate versus 2-3% for leading models. eg2.haku.sh
• Character.AI files for Chapter 11. It will sell some assets to Disney for $20 million and wind down the platform if no buyer emerges. TechCrunch's read: more engagement means higher AI costs and more pressure to monetize. TechCrunch
